Almost there!

Sorry it has taken me a while to update! Our internet has been acting very silly, and I haven't been able to upload pics lately. I am now at the end of 36 weeks, we only have four more days to go!! Can you believe it? It is even hard for us to believe at this point. I have had two appointments a week for a few weeks now, and everything is going just fine. At our ultrasound yesterday, we found out that baby A is about 6lbs 4oz, and baby B is 6lbs 1oz. That is a lot of weight for me, but wonderful for them! We are so thankful!! They are growing exactly how they should be, and should be fine for the delivery on Tuesdsay. We also saw that the babies already have some hair, how fun!
I am doing ok...getting very tired quickly throughout the day. But, that is understandable at this point. I am just going to take it easy this weekend, and get ready for Tuesday. The nursary is done, with their names on the wall and everything! The carseats are in the car, and Teage has practised taking them in and out! :) He is very excited, and keeps me calm when I get nervous! :) We are both very thankful for all of our family and friend's love and support through this whole process. We will be sure to get a ton of pictures up after they are born on Tuesday. We love you all!

Update....

I went in for another appointment today, I am at 34 weeks and a few days! Not much to report....the boys are both doing great, which is wonderful! I had another NST, where they monitored heartrate and movement. It actually ended up taking quite a while because the boys were so active, and "B" had the hiccups for almost a half an hour! :) I am having some contractions every now and again, but that is normal for how far along I am. The doctors are not worried about them at all. I am starting with two checkups a week next week, so I will give another update then! :)

This is one of the ultrasound pictures from a few weeks ago. Teage wanted me to post this one, because even though the face is a little squished, you can tell perfectly that our sons have a beautiful Samoan nose! :) I am sure both boys are going to take after their daddy in this area!

Pregnancy News

A quick update on how the boys are doing....I just had an ultrasound last Thursday 05/31/07, and everything is going as well as can be imagined. Both boys are now almost five pounds each ("A" is 4lbs 15oz, and "B" is 4lbs 14oz), which is wonderful news! They are gaining about a half pound a week now, and still at a steady rate, which is exactly what the doctors want to see. I am also having to do a Non-Stress Test every appointment as well, where they hook me up to a whole bunch of monitors, to monitor the boys' heartrates according to movement, and me for contractions. Every test has come out clear and normal, a huge blessing! I am going in every week for ultrasounds, and pretty soon, twice a week. We are very thankful for the wonderful doctors and nurses that we have had so far, we couldn't ask for any better care. Only a little over three weeks to go! I am doing well....still able to get around by myself and no bedrest. Hopefully that will stay the case throughout the whole pregnancy. :) We are pretty much ready at home also, I have enclosed the pic of the nursary. It is coming up really quickly!! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for our family!

The "boys"

At 12 weeks, Teage and I went into the doctor for my first check up after learning we were pregnant, and SURPRISE there were two little ones in there!! We were so shocked! This is the only ultrasound picture we have of both of them together, as they got big very quickly and could not fit into the same screen after a while. :)
After that point, I have had to go in and have an ultrasound and check-up every two weeks, as twins are considered high risk. However, it has been a wonderful experience to be able to see both babies so often!
At 15 weeks we learned that the babies were identical twins, and that they were boys!!!! I have been very fortunate to have a relatively smooth twin pregnancy, with hardly any complications to worry about. Both boys have been developing at a steady and even rate, both are very active, and I have had no sign of pre-term labor. This is a huge blessing when it comes to having two at once! :) We have been very thankful, that despite the sickness and hardships of pregnancy, the boys have been healthy and happy.

Our beautiful home!

Teage and I purchased our home in February 2005, and were finally able to move in in November 2005! :) We are in Snoqualmie Ridge, just about 15 minutes east of Issaquah. The area is beautiful, we love our community, and have wonderful neighbors and friends here. We feel so blessed to have purchased a home at our age, and absolutely love it!! Teage has been working hard to make it our own, painting, molding, shelving, etc. He has done a wonderful job!

Wedding Photos - Just for Fun!

Hi everyone! We decided to create this blog in order to keep up with everyone a little bit easier! :) I will give an update on "the boys" and how everything is going with the pregnancy, but wanted to put a few pics in here of us from the wedding, just because it is fun! We hope that you are all doing wonderfully, and are so thankful for all of your friendships and love.
