Mommies Vacation!

LOVE THESE LADIES!!!!

For almost a year these awesome ladies and I had been planning a trip to get back together! Three of the six of us had moved away within a year or two, and we all wanted to make sure that we stayed in touch, so we decided to go on a vacation together and have some girl time! 

In November we all flew down to the LA area to have some Mommy play time! So of course with no kiddos, we HAD to go to Disneyland! And it was AMAZING!! Since we didn't have to stop for kiddos going to the bathroom or having a fit or needing a snack, we could just run around all day long! It was awesome!

And then on day 2 we went down to Venice Beach, rented bikes, and biked all the way up the boulavard to Santa Monica Pier! What a beautiful day it was!!!! We walked around the pier, ate at Bubba Gump restaurant, watched Jen and Emily jump into the cold ocean, and biked back during the sunset. Gorgeous!

Day 3 was short, but great. We honestly just sat around, ate a ton, laughed hysterically while playing games, went to lunch, and then said goodbye and went home to our families. I was so thankful and grateful to be with these wonderful ladies for the weekend and be able to just let loose and have fun for a while! 

Halloween

We love Halloween around here! 

This year we had some amazingly brave Super Heros, Batman and Captain America! As well as an amazingly brave but super cute Minnie Mouse!

Teage and I even got into it this year and were a Princess and Prince Charming!

I am famous! :)

I have now been a family history consultant in our ward for almost 3 years! And this year has been really fun for me and my fellow consultants! We finally got our own family history room with amazing computers in our building, and it is fabulous. AND, I had some really fun and unexpected opportunities as well!

First, I received a call from our dear friend Steve Olson who is in charge of family history in the stake, saying that a host from Evening Magazine wanted to come to the Discovery Center and do a piece for the show! So I was asked to come down and do a big "reveal" with him and tell him who he was related to! The whole experience was so much fun and the show aired a few weeks later!!! Loved it!

After the Evening show aired, Margaret Larson from New Day Northwest talked to Michael from the Evening show and asked him about the experience. He told her how much he enjoyed it, and she decided to do a piece on her show as well!!! So I went on live TV on the New Day Show with Scott Stout, the executive director of familysearch.org. SO STRESSFUL BUT SO FUN!! Margaret was wonderful and really helped us feel at ease. I stressed myself out big time about memorizing the script, and I DID IT!

My sweet husband and daughter, as well amazing Kimmers came to support me also! And after the show was done we went to the studio next door and got to tour around the King 5 news area!

And first day of the 2nd year of PRESCHOOL for my Emery girl!!!! She was beyond excited!

2015 Mariners!

We had a blast with our Mariners this year! We weren't able to go to as many games as we really wanted to, but honestly it was just because we were so busy having fun with other things! :) We tried to get there as much as possible, however, and did get to some really important games like the Jamie Moyer Hall of Fame night! 

We also did a few Aquasox games with Tutu and Dale, which was a blast (you can sit in the premium seats for cheap!) :)

AND we had the chance to be on the field again this year for batting practice, which may have been the best year yet! Emery got to come this year AND all three kiddos received a ball from a player! Kyle Seager will forever be in my heart as well for how he treated the boys. He was so excited to see them and made sure each of them got a ball. So much fun!!!!

We also were on TV more times then I can count this year, both on the big screen at the stadium and on Root Sports watching the game from home! We sent in a ton of pics in to the Mariners and were so surprised how often we saw our own faces on the screen!

End of the summer Utah trip

Semi-last minute, we decided to take a trip down to Utah for the last week of the summer. Teage's sister Tawna and her family, as well as his brother Brook and his family live there, as well as a whole bunch of aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. This really was a last minute decision, but a wonderful one! We had a fabulous time with friends and family! 

As we drove down, we decided to take our time, stop when we wanted, and spend the night in Boise to break up the drive a bit. On the way down we found this adorable gas station that was called the "Middle of Nowhere", and it really was! However, it has a fabulous little gift shop, llamas and goats you could feed, and was just a really nice stop for us!

Our first stop was visiting our dear friends the Warners, who had just moved away from Snoqualmie a few months ago and who we miss terribly! The kids were so excited to see each other, and I was dying to see Melissa's new home! 

The rest of the week we just hung out with all of our family and had a wonderful time! We spent a ton of time with our nieces and nephews, went to dinner, went around Salt Lake a bit and visited Teage's cousin who was in the hospital, were able to go to our buddy Becham's baptism, and had a great dinner with Aunt Bonita and Uncle Chris with all of their kiddos! I love Teage's cousins so much, I feel like I get to know them better and better every time we see each other. I always can laugh with them and have a fabulous time!
