What we've been up to...

Our family has been really busy lately....projects around the house, celebrations in many varieties, work for both Teage and myself, church projects, family, etc etc etc. It seems like lately the list has been going on and on. But, we have also had a lot of fun as well. Here are a few pics from the last couple weeks to get everyone caught up....
Whenever we are blessed to have a day with sunshine (or even no rain), I take the boys up to the park near our house. This particular park has the "big slide" which the boys are obsessed with at the moment. The first few times they went down the slide they were terrified, but now they can't get enough! They even decided to "hug" each other the other day and go down together...this was the result:

After being in our home for only three and a half years, we finally decided to plant a garden on the narrow side of the driveway. Only took us that long to come to a conclusion. :) Teage expertly built this rock way and divided two portions for us, one for vegetables, and one for flowers and blueberry plants. We were pretty excited about finally getting it all done, and the boys were very into helping in any way possible. They actually wanted to stay outside and "help" for hours! It was amazing! They watered, dug in the dirt, helped Daddy with the rocks, etc. They were having a blast. And of course after a while got very thirsty and needed a little drink from the hose. :)

Both boys are also very into sports at the moment. Every time Teage has Sportcenter on TV, they yell out "baseball!" or "football!", though it often doesn't sound exactly like that. :) Dylan especially loves to kick the ball around the house...and he is getting really good. I think we have a little soccer star on our hands. :) I know that this pic isn't the greatest, but it shows his precious little face when he is playing "soccer".

Teage and I also just celebrated our 5 year anniversary. It is amazing how fast time flies. On the day of our anniversary we took the boys out to dinner to a sushi place near our home. Sushi is our favorite, and the boys actually really enjoy it as well. It is so fun to watch them try to figure out chopsticks (because of course they need to use whatever mommy and daddy are using). :)

Even though I feel like time gets away from me many many times and I don't savor each moment like I should, I look back at even the last few weeks with our family and can't help thinking how lucky and blessed I am to be a mother. It is the hardest, most challenging job in the world, but also the most rewarding and fulfilling. I love ALL of my boys so very much and thank my Heavenly Father every day for their examples and love in my life.

Dear Teage

Happy Anniversary Baby!
You are an amazing husband and father, and I am so thankful to have spent the last five years with you. I love you!

Just a little behind the times....

So, I have been meaning to post pictures of Easter for quite a while and just have not had the time to do it. So, here you go. :) We had a great year this year, spending time with family mainly. We went to brunch with the Pfeifer side of the family in the morning and ate our hearts out (thank you Grandma and Grandpa, we love that brunch!). Then over to my mom's house for dinner with the Engbretson side and Teage's dad as well. The boys went on their first official Easter egg hunt and had a blast. Then over to the Parkinson side to visit with Grammy and Papa. :) All in all, a great day! Lots of family, lots of food, and lots of smiles from the boys. What could be better? :)
I don't yet have the pictures from brunch that day, so I will post those later...

My brother Brandon and Teage on their annual Easter treasure hunt! They both look forward to it every year. :)

Dylan with Papa Christensen

D and L with their Tutu, waiting patiently for the egg hunt to begin

Both boys were a bit confused right when they began to "hunt" for eggs...but once they realized there was chocolate in some of them, they were super excited! :)
