Miss E's Photo Shoot

On one of the last days of sunshine, I put this adorable little outfit on Miss E and told her we had to go out and do a photo shoot. She wasn't super excited about it, and this was pretty much all I could get out of her, but they still turned out pretty cute. I wanted to make sure to capture this adorable face and outfit while I could, she is getting big too fast! Just yesterday she was telling me "Mommy, my knees hurt!" She is growing all right!! Love this spunky little Miss!!!
Of course she still wants to do everything herself....I guess that is a given! And she is singing ALL the time! Whenever she doesn't want to sleep, she sits up in her crib and sings to her stuffed animals. She is amazing with song! She knows so many by heart already...."Think of Me Everyday", "We Thank God for This Day", "You are My Sunshine", "Families are Forever", "I am a Child of God" and so many more!

Meeting Michael Saunders!!

As a special treat for the end of the summer, we took the kiddos to meet a members of the Seattle Mariners.....Michael Saunders!!!!!!!! IT WAS AWESOME! We arrived early, so we were first in line, got some autographs, and were able to chat with him for a minute before having to give way to the next person! We also met the Moose and got his autograph as well, which Emery absolutely loved. We just had a fabulous day, such a special experience!

1st Day of School!

The boys were so excited about their first day of school this year! These big six year olds started first grade, and therefore, a full day in school. I can't even believe it. They are having the time of their lives, while I am at home missing them all day! It truly was very difficult for me the first few days they were gone. It just seems like such a long time for them to be away from home, and I am not liking it very much!!!! :)
The boys love their new teacher, their new friends, and all of the amazing new subjects they are learning. First grade seems to be quite a bit more difficult then kindergarten, and lots more homework, but the boys are living up to the challenge, and more. They are even starting to read chapter books!
I love these buddies so much, and am so proud of all that they have accomplished and will continue to accomplish. They are such great examples of love and kindness, and I could not be more proud as their Mom!!!!
I love you D and L, and can't wait to see what this school year will hold for you!!

Love How They Think

I love how silly my boys are sometimes. Definitely keeps me laughing....and I am so thankful! Sometimes in this life there is a lot to be sad about, a lot to dwell upon. But when I look at my kids, and hear their funny jokes, or just the way they talk to each other, I have to smile. They have such a wonderful sense of humor, and I LOVE IT! :) I also love how they can see the good in the world around them, and make the most of every situation!!

Today, the boys were telling me about the new song they learned in 1st grade. It was a song to help them in their spelling and it ended with a saying about pumpkin pie.
D and L singing- "As easy as pumpkin pie!"
Me- "You know, pumpkin pie is not so easy to make actually" :)
L- "I know....it is not easy to spell either!!!!"
